Since our first home opened in 1999, Heart Havens has been dedicated to empowering adults with developmental disabilities to live full, happy lives with as much independence as possible. However, we can't achieve this without your help.
While Heart Havens is primarily funded by Medicaid, there are many essential services and activities that Medicaid does not cover. To ensure that the people we support are engaged as full and active members of their communities, we depend on generous donations from supporters like you.

Donate by Check

Giving Hearts
By setting up a recurring gift, you can become a Giving Heart! Recurring gifts allow Heart Havens to plan income throughout the year, and they are quick and easy for the donor. Plus, they can be a great way to increase your donation without hurting your pocketbook! For example, if you would make a one-time gift of $100, a simple monthly gift of $10 would make your total annual gift $120. Giving Hearts receive special recognition in our Annual Report. To set up your recurring gift, use our secure giving page and select "monthly" in the box marked frequency , or use your online banking to set up a monthly donation. If you'd like to give via a monthly ACH transfer, please call our office or fill out the ACH form.
Annual Fund
Gifts to the Annual Fund go to where the need is the greatest among our homes and the people we support. This includes groceries for healthy, homemade meals, internet and phone plans, household supplies, vehicle expenses so our residents can participate in their community, home maintenance and repair, and incidental medical costs not covered by other insurance.
Gifts in Kind
Keeping a Heart Havens home running smoothly requires a lot of supplies! We frequently need items such as paper towels, toilet paper, and other household essentials. If you’d like to support us by donating supplies or organizing a paper drive. Service Professionals Needed: Are you a general contractor, handyman, plumber, or other service professional? Your skills are invaluable to us! Our homes often need maintenance and repairs, and donating your labor can make a huge difference. Adopt a Home
Monthly adopt-a-home sponsors help meet the daily needs of each person and give them a chance to thrive, in a way that is personal and promotes independence. Your monthly donation provides our residents with the gift of education and recreation, medical needs, home maintenance, telecommunications, more engaged workforce and groceries and household supplies.
Legacy Society
Donors who make provisions for a gift to Heart Havens through trusts, bequests and estate planning are recognized as members of the Legacy Society. Planned giving assists donors in developing the perfect balance between their personal financial goals and their charitable interests, while realizing significant tax benefits. Through planned giving, you can increase your current income or provide additional retirement income, while earning a current tax deduction and providing for a future gift to Heart Havens. Endowment Fund
Heart Havens established an Endowment in 2010 as an investment in sustaining our unique and urgently needed charitable mission. These funds are invested in perpetuity to generate earnings that allow Heart Havens to protect the people we support by maintaining the homes our donors have provided. A gift to the Endowment Fund is a gift for Heart Havens' future.
