Celebrate Heart Havens Month with us!

Everyone is part of the body of Christ, and that's true for people with a developmental disability, too! Heart Havens is all about helping the people we support be parts of the Body across the Virginia Conference, both at church and in their communities.

February is the month set aside by the Conference for Heart Havens to tell our story of joy and empowerment. This year, we're celebrating the fact that everyone is part of the body of Christ. We all bring different gifts and abilities to the Church, and God is able to use all of us in such wonderful ways! Heart Havens residents living throughout the Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church bring a host of talents to the church. Will you take the month of February to learn more about them and show your support?

We are still taking requests for speakers! We would love to come visit your church, United Methodist Men, United Methodist Women, or other small group. Our speakers can give anything from a three-minute mission moment to a full Sunday sermon; please click here to contact us to schedule a visit from a Heart Havens speaker.

Although we always look forward to visiting your church, we recognize that it's not always possible. If a speaker is not in your plans, please feel free to use the resources below to plan a Heart Havens Sunday or other mission project to support Heart Havens. Please consider our mission ideas, take up a special collection for Heart Havens, and/or contact us for a speaker. Heart Havens does not receive any funding from apportionments. Your support is vital to our success.
